About the ART IN THE OFFICE Program

Monex Group, Inc. started the "ART IN THE OFFICE" program in 2008 as part of its social and cultural activities with an aim to support emerging contemporary artists and currently Monex, Inc. is sponsoring the program from 2010. The program seeks applications from artists of works to install on the wall of the press conference room within Monex's headquarters. The winner is also given a cash award and production fee. The program is run in cooperation with the nonprofit art organization, Arts Initiative Tokyo.

Takanori Suga Profile

Born in Nagasaki in 1985. Graduated from Aichi University of the Arts. His artistic expression originates from painting techniques based on the theme of actions and desires fundamentally exist within human beings. He was influenced by the Aboriginal culture during his trip in 2014 which led him stay in an old traditional house of a local aged man to create his work. His recent exhibitions include KOSHIKI ART EXHIBITION 2012 (Kagoshima, 2012), Dripping Project (Former Kyoto Prefectural Office Building Musee Acta, 2013) and the commissioned work was shown at Komagome SOKO, Tokyo in 2015.
