- The scope classifications follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol).
- Calculated based on consumption and emission factors from the Order for Enforcement of the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures (Japan) and the Act on the Rational Use of Energy (Japan).
- The crude oil equivalent of electricity consumption at the U.S. and China locations is calculated as an estimate by multiplying the crude oil equivalent of electricity consumption at the Japan locations by the ratio of each location’s emission factor for electricity consumption to that of the Japan locations (t-CO2/kWh).
- Figures for 2018 and 2019 are calculated from the energy consumption of offices in Japan (Monex Group, Inc. and Monex, Inc.).
- Figures for 2020 and 2021 are calculated from the energy consumption of the Group’s offices, data centers, etc. at each of its locations.
- Numerical values are based on estimated conversion values provided by the recycling vendor. Conversions for vaccine purchases are calculated at one vaccine dose (enough for one person) per 800 caps through 2021.
