Announcement Regarding the Change in Disclosure of Margin Accounts

*5The number of accounts from August to December 2010 includes duplicated accounts due to the merger of Monex, Inc. and former ORIX Securities Corporation (OSC), and duplicated accounts taken over from OSC. 38,500 securities accounts in August 2010, and 100,155 securities accounts (including 1,607 margin accounts) in December 2010 were closed respectively, and the numbers in the table reflect such closures.

*61,043 duplicated accounts were closed in June 2011, and the numbers in the table reflect the closures.

*7From October 2011, we started to disclose the number of active accounts instead of the number of accounts. Active accounts (including margin accounts) mean the accounts with balance (fund for collateral or margin balance for margin accounts) or the accounts which have traded more than once (including withdrawal) in the past 1 year.
